Billet Family Information – Motor City Gamblers 16U/18U

Host families play a vital role in helping young hockey players pursue their dreams of junior, collegiate, and professional hockey. The Motor City Gamblers attract elite talent from across the U.S. and internationally, providing players with high-level training, competition, and exposure to advance their careers. With a proven track record of player development, our program relies on the generosity of host families to create a stable, supportive environment where athletes can thrive on and off the ice.

Hosting a Gamblers player is a rewarding experience—whether you’re a busy family, empty nesters, or an individual passionate about hockey. Players become part of your household, offering energy, camaraderie, and even assistance with tasks like mentoring younger kids, tutoring, or helping around the home. In return, you’ll gain lifelong connections and the pride of contributing to a player’s journey.

If you’re interested in hosting a Motor City Gamblers player, please review our Host Family Information Sheet, complete the Host Family Application, and email us at billetmcg@gmail.com.

General Information

Billeting is a long-standing hockey tradition, providing young athletes with a home away from home as they pursue their goals. From junior hockey to the pros, host families help players adjust to new teams, schools, and communities while fostering focus and discipline.
